My pens are made from English oak taken from the roof of York Minster after the fire in 1984, the oak was carbon dated by the Minster and it is 13th centurey so I bought it from them on the understanding that there was a certifcate with each pen and with a signature on each certificate.
When these oak trusses were being put in place by local craft person King Henry the 8th was on the throne and if you read the infomation sheet with each pen many other things come to light.
