Originally Pens were made from quills and dipped into bottles containing ink. It was only in 1884 that the first fountain pen as we know it was created.
The humble ball point pen came out in 1945, and has gone from strength to strength. When you look through our penturners pages we can assure you that there is nothing humble about the pens that have been carefully crafted by our penturners.
There is nothing like holding a pen that has been crafted from wood, resin, or any other man made substance and observing the beauty and the workmanship that has gone into creating this writing impliment.
The art of pen-turning is very much about exposing the natural beauty of the material that the penturner is working with.

The first of the timber pen boxes is a satin lift lid timber pen box. This pen box is suitable for single pens including the larger style pen kits.
The inside of the pen box is fully lined with a satin type material and complete with a centre band to hold the pen in place
